We will meet at the covered picnic pavilion at Lynn Newbry Park, Talent and walk around 0.6 miles upstream along the Bear Creek Greenway. While we walk and look for birds, we’ll discuss the recovery from the Almeda Fire and riparian habitat and restoration.
Our guided raft-supported hike is the most comfortable way to experience the Rogue River Trail. You hike with a daypack while the rafts shuttle all our gear. ARTA’s friendly guides provide delicious meals and water along the trail. Join us on this amazing adventure!

This popular hike is an out-and-back route to the Boundary Springs, tucked away in the northern part of Crater Lake National Park, where waters of the Rogue River bursts forth from volcanic soils. Enjoy this moderate 5-mile round-trip hike where the Rogue River feels more like a creek. This is a beautiful trail with a couple of cascading waterfalls and a lush riparian zone set against the backdrop of an intact post-fire forest.
Please join us for a Fall Forest Bathing walk on Mount Ashland.. Please note that this is not a long, strenuous hike but instead a lovely walk with times to sit and explore Forest Bathing, otherwise known in Japan as Shinrin-Yoku.

This walk will be approx. 1 mile out and back, mostly flat (2 mi. round trip), on a paved path and an unpaved trail along the Bear Creek Greenway from near Pine St. to Table Rock Rd. We will visit a small pond used by Western Pond Turtles. This species has recently been proposed for listing under the Endangered Species Act

The Williams Community Forest Project will lead a guided tour of the Pipe Fork, a gorgeous riparian area currently under threat of being clear-cut by Josephine County. There will be time for personal exploration and connecting with the land, taking photos and tidbits of the features you would like to recreate in wool. We will work with wool together afterwards at Pacifica's lovely Pond House.
