Earth Day Celebration Hike to Colebrook Rock

Join KS Wild’s Staff Ecologist Rich Nawa in celebrating Earth Day on this hike to Colebrook Rock! Colebrook Rock is an easily accessible large rock outcrop with abundant wild flowers and nearby old growth forest. The 40 acre Bureau of Land Management parcel is threatened with total destruction from a proposed Oregon Department of Transportation quarry. We’d love to see you for this short hike to enjoy panoramic views, identify wild flowers and visit 300-year old trees. After lunch on the rock we will drive to Hunter Creek Bog only 1 mile away for a short hike.

This hike is co-sponsored by the Oregon Coast Alliance and the Kalmiopsis Audobon Society.
