On Earth Day 2022 President Biden issued an Executive Order calling on the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to conserve mature and old-growth forests as a natural climate solution. This is a huge step towards meaningful protections for the remaining older forests, but now it’s up to us to ensure that this step leads to lasting change.
In response to the President’s Executive Order, both the U.S. Forest Service and BLM have opened public comment periods through June 20th, 2023. Please take a minute to add your name to the list of advocates demanding permanent protections of mature and old-growth forests on federal public land!
