2023 Forest Defender Training Series
Last Earth Day President Biden issued an executive order calling on the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to conserve mature and old-growth forests as a climate solution. This was a momentous step towards meaningful protections, but now it’s up to us to ensure that this turns into real and lasting changes in how federal agencies manage — and protect — older forests.
But the clock is ticking! As we approach the one-year anniversary of this executive order promise, hundreds of thousands of acres of federal mature and old-growth forests are on the chopping block right now. We need your help to get permanent protections for our ancient forests across the finish line.
The Forest Defender Training Series is happening this summer! The series will focus on how to become involved in the federal lands decision making process and getting out into the forest to field check timber sales.
