River Trail Habitat Restoration

Join park rangers at Valley of the Rogue State Park for a celebration of Earth Day! Valley of the Rogue State Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife such as coyotes, beavers and spawning salmon. Every spring, monarch butterflies also call Valley of the Rogue home. For Earth Day 2019, Valley of the Rogue would like to make the monarchs home a little more cozy!  Come on out and join us as we clear invasive blackberry away from our river trail and plant new native milkweed in our monarch butterfly habitat. Help make Valley of the Rogue more accessible for hikers and butterflies alike! Bring sturdy closed toes shoes, a hat, and a water bottle. Be prepared for changing conditions and dress for the weather. We will meet in the campground at the program area.
