Megan Danforth

From exploring her family's 60 acres of northern Michigan woods as a child to a three-month expedition in Patagonia with NOLS to tracking grizzlies with the USGS in Glacier National Park, Megan Danforth has always followed the compass of her wild soul. These adventures ignited her curiosity about the human-nature relationship, inspiring her to earn a Master’s in Transpersonal Psychology with a focus on ecopsychology.

After settling in Ashland, Megan’s lifelong passion for singing became the guiding voice of her career. She founded Rogue World Music, a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing the soul of community through dynamic choral performances, intimate concerts, children's education, a world music festival, and community singing programs.

Megan is married to Tom Pike, a licensed mental health counselor at RCC, and together they have two boys, ages 12 and 20. Their family embraces the motto, "Live like someone left the gate open," leading lives filled with adventure and rooted in deep connections to the wild.

She is excited to bring her unique blend of organizational leadership, creativity, and community-building experience to the important mission of protecting and restoring the wild places we call home.
