Merlin, Ore. -- The Rogue River is receiving national attention as a tourist attraction with a feature in USA Today.
Earlier this week USA Today called the Rogue River one of the top ten places in the nation to ride rapids.
As it turns out, that feature is just one of the many clippings in Brad Niva's shop in Merlin.
The national attention has improved business by about 14% at Rouge Wilderness Adventures.
With unemployment high in Josephine County, tourism is one of the few industries adding jobs.
Of the ten rivers named in the USA Today article, a second Oregon river made the cut.
The Upper Klamath River is selected as a great day trip for experienced boaters.
