This hike offers a chance to see one of the greatest natural phenomenon of our region - wild salmon leaping up a wild rapid on their way back from the ocean to spawn in the Upper Rogue River. The hike to Rainie Falls is an easy to moderate 4.5 mile walk through beautiful low elevation forest along the shores of the Wild Rogue River. This hike will take us into the Zane Grey Roadless Area - the focus of the Save the Wild Rogue campaign that seeks to preserve this old growth enclave with nearly 60,000 acres of new Wilderness.

Meet at 9 am at Evo's in Ashland or at the Rainie Falls Trailhead at the base of the bridge where Grave's Creek enters the Rogue at 10:30.
