Caminata Bilingue - Bilingual Hike at Mount Ashland Meadows

Come join Unite Oregon and Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center for an exciting collaboration and exploration of Mt. Ashland's plants, pollinators and birds. We will have discussions in English and Spanish, and mentor others on how to lead bilingual hikes.

All are welcome to come join Unite Oregon (Rogue Valley chapter) and Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center for an exciting collaboration hike. Come learn about the birds, pollinators, and plants that live at Mt. Ashland in a welcoming environment. We will have discussions in English and Spanish, and mentor others on how to lead bilingual hikes in the future.

FAMILY FRIENDLY: We'll have some fun trail-games to share, and will provide extra 'tools' to borrow. We will demonstrate how to use binoculars, flower guidebooks, magnifying lenses, and bird flashcards etc.

LOCATION: The beautiful Mount Ashland meadows feature spectacular views and an incredible diversity of plants and wildflowers. 
This easy hike will be along the fairly level PCT and is perfect for families and first-time hikers. We will walk at a moderate pace, learning about birds, flowers, and Mt. Ashland itself along the way, stopping for a lunch time picnic. 

BRING: comfortable walking shoes, a small backpack with water and snacks, sun or rain protection, and an extra layer or jacket

CARPOOL FROM ASHLAND: leaving at 9:30am from Get N' Gear 340 A St, Ashland
