Door-to-Door Canvass
Rafting on the lower Rogue River through the
Zane Grey Roadless Area
KS Wild started our door-to-door canvass in Summer 2003, and it has proven to be a very successful endeavor. We have more than doubled our membership, spoke with over a thousand people in our community about important issues facing the Klamath-Siskiyou ecoregion and activated community members to write letters to elected officials, federal agencies or local newspapers.
KS Wild is a grassroots organization that depends on the support of our
community. We can always use your help! Canvassing is a great way to learn
more about public lands, talk with people about important issues, and
develop good communication skills. While we will continue to canvass in
Ashland, Jacksonville and Talent, we also plan to venture out to Grants
Pass, Mt. Shasta and Humboldt Bay in 2005.
Canvassing is challenging work, but it is also highly rewarding. If you
are interested in a canvassing job at KS Wild, please contact Lesley at
541-488-5789 or lesley@kswild.org.
